The struggle…

We all feel stuck sometimes. Difficult emotions and experiences have a way of catching up with us after a while. My bet is that you do a fine job of sucking it up and getting through your days. You have to. You’re a survivor. But after a while, it can start to feel like you’re dragging yourself through life. Everything feels heavy - from getting out of bed, to going about your daily activities, to putting down your phone at the end of the day and finally shutting your eyes. There’s a background sense that life shouldn’t be like this, but you just can’t seem to find the way forward…

I’m Christin Trott, MS, PLPC, with Être Counseling KC. I work with adults and couples in the Kansas City area (and greater state of Missouri via online counseling). My clients often come in struggling with intense emotions (stress, anxiety, anger, depression, grief), childhood trauma, relationship conflict, identity difficulties, and/or addiction. We can work together to find the way through whatever you’re experiencing. We will gain insight into the difficulties that brought you in, build on your strengths, and help you develop the skills and motivation to find your way forward. The overall effect will be more calm, joy, ease and enthusiasm in your life.

I know that therapy can be strenuous at times - facing the past, seeing things about our lives that aren’t always easy to accept. That’s why comfort is so important while we work together. This office space was designed to be comfortable and inspiring in order to help you get the most out of each counseling session. My hope is for you to be able to relax and enjoy the process.

In-person and online therapy available

My office is located at 325 E 31st St., Floor 2, Kansas City, MO 64108. You can easily find me at 31st and Oak Street (Martini Corner) on the second floor of the Made in KC Store & Prefix Café.

I also provide online counseling to anyone throughout the state of Missouri and for those who are unable to make it into my office due to location or scheduling difficulties.
